About Me

Everything I’ve accomplished is the result of my thoughts. From the great things to the not so great things. From terrible jobs to crummy boyfriends, they were the result of believing that I didn’t deserve better.

The Power of a Positive Mindset

One day I was just tired of it. Tired of living a dull, unhappy life. So I made a decision that I was going to do better. Once I made that first decision, I had to change my mind about what was possible for me. I decided I was going to finish a college diploma. I was going to get a better job.

And I was amazed by the way the Universe came through for me. Once I made that first decision, everything fell into place. I had to do the work! But everything I needed came to me.

For example, all I could afford was night school. So that’s what I did. I signed up for night school and I went twice a week. Then, night school had a job fair. Where I found a fantastic opportunity that led to an entire career.

The Next Decision

I got a diploma, a professional license and some terrific jobs. I bought myself a condo, then I traded up to a 3 bedroom house with a new car in the driveway.

It would have been easy to just keep doing the same thing. But it felt like I was finished with it. It was fun and I was grateful for everything. But I still felt like there was more to life.

So I decided to take a sabbatical. I quit my job, sold my house and my car. I put my stuff in storage and bought a one-way ticket to Paris.

Around the World

After 5 weeks in Paris I kept buying one-way tickets until I made it around the world. It took just over a year and it was the best year of my entire life.

And it reminded me of the most important thing I’d ever learned: any time you want to change your life, all you have to do is make a decision.

As soon as I decided to take a year off, everything lined up for me. Everything worked out exactly the way it was supposed to. Not perfectly! But in the best way possible for me.

A few of the places that renewed my belief in magic: riding a tuk-tuk in Bangkok, visiting temples in Cambodia, visiting an elephant sanctuary in Chiang Mai, and climbing Sigiriya in Sri Lanka.

Spiritual Alignment

After my sabbatical I never went back to a regular job. Instead, I started working online. But after a few years back in Canada, I discovered that I was ready for another change. I wanted to learn more about meditation and explore my spiritual energy some more. But I wasn’t sure what to do about it.

One day while I was meditating, this idea popped into my head. I was just sitting there doing my om chants, when I thought “I should go to India. And do Kundalini yoga.”

My eyes flew open and my next thought was “is that really a thing?”

I spent five minutes on Google and discovered that it sure is a thing! Before I knew it, I was on my way to India.

Kundalini Yoga

As soon as I decided I wanted to do Kundalini yoga, everything fell into place for me. I found a month-long program that includes meditation, yoga, and spiritual awakening. You even get a Kundalini yoga teacher qualification at the end.

I also knew I wasn’t going to go all the way to India, and then come straight back. So I sold one of my websites and it gave me enough money to travel for 6 months. I put my stuff in storage and bought a one-way ticket to Delhi.

Living a Creative Life

I’m back in Canada now, but I know that I’m going to travel again soon. I love this life. I love using my creativity to earn a living. And I love having the freedom to decide where my life will go next. It all started because I made a decision and let it carry me forward.

Create a Life You Love

I started this website as a way to share my best techniques for creating a life you love, just in case you want to do the same. Crystals, affirmations, and meditation are just a few of the magical tools that helped me reach for my dreams. I hope you’ll join me!
